So What Do You Do?
There are many things that we do that are environmentally friendly. One example is that we recycle all of our used fluids that are drained and removed from vehicles (these include but are not limited to: engine oil, anti-freeze, gear oil, and transmission fluid).
We understand recycling and it's one of our most valuable resources utilized at Duffy's Repair Service. We store one 100-gallon drum of "new" recycled anti-freeze on location. This reduces the need for new anti-freeze to be produced and this reduces our carbon footprint all at the same time.
Old parts that are removed from vehicles (water pumps, wheels, exhaust systems, bearings, etc.) are not just thrown into the dumpster. We have partnerships with recycling companies that pick up our old metal and aluminum parts - which in turn gets recycled.
After the tires get worn on vehicles and are removed - they are often not disposed of properly. We go the extra mile with having them picked up and recycled. Recycled tires can go into many different products, including outdoor children playgrounds for a rubber floor/padding.
